The Cambridge School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture was the first school to teach professional design for women with a trained faculty. When Katherine Brooks sought to become an architect, she was denied entry to universities due to her gender. She met with and convinced Henry Atherton Frost to teach her; within a few years, he had multiple students and expanded the school.
