Shehr (Urdu word for “city”) for Her is a feminist spatial research collective founded at the School of Art, Design & Architecture, Islamabad. It began as a study group exploring gender, space, and public life through discussions and a collaborative panel with Women in Architecture Pakistan. Now evolving into a research collective, it has launched its first publication and plans an urban sketching club, detailed analysis of four Islamabad sectors, and an open-source spatial injustice database. With future expansions to Lahore, Karachi, and broader South Asia, Shehr for Her combines feminist theory, fieldwork, and design to reimagine cities through women’s lived experiences.
