Mujeres, Casas y Ciudades: Más allá del umbral
Mujeres, Casas y Ciudades: Más allá del umbral
This publication “proposes a rewriting of the history of architecture and urbanism based on the contributions made by women who have been silenced in general histories. The book focuses on the inhabited environment, from design to politics, from architecture to urbanism; all of this synthesized in the house and the city, as a representation of the private and the public. The house as a metaphor for architecture, the city as a synthesis of human actions. Furthermore, doing so from a feminist position necessarily implies the deconstruction of the majority historiography, revealing the false neutrality and universality in the transmission of knowledge and in the construction of historical stories.”
