La Perrera

La Perrera

La Perrera is an “artistic collective made up of Natalia Iguiñiz and Sandro Venturo, and since 1999 it has been developing street campaigns that have had powerful repercussions on public opinion. The first work was Perrahabl@, an intervention that denounced sexual violence, which removed the bases of official feminist groups as well as the Congress of the Republic, the Public Ministry and the Ministry of Women and Development... This work gave rise to new contacts that produced, in turn, new actions in alliance with human rights, environmental and feminist groups. La Perrera has developed other works that denounced nationalism (Somos Perdedores, 2001), the mistreatment of domestic workers (Excluidas, 2002), power relations in the couple (Who bosses who), the imposition of a transnational mining company against farmers of Tambogrande (We want to live like this, 2002), the conservatism of a sector of the Government related to the health sector (Minister meets, 2002), sexist advertising (Consumidora o consumida, 2004), among others.”
