Just Practice

Just Practice

Just Practice, a collective formed by Sophie Weston Chien and Amanda Urgorji, "dream[s] and design[s] social-spatial liberation." Across architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, community engagement, exhibits, and textile art, Just Practice uses a Black feminist lens to explore memory, women in architecture, and collective care. Their touchable and legible textiles invite viewers to engage directly, regardless of background, spatializing complex urban data and histories. They have exhibited work at MIT Museum, Boston City Hall, Gallery 360, and Boston Public Library.
