gioia libera tuttə
gioia libera tuttə is an autonomous and independent project conceived and created by CCT studio, the creative heart of the CCT-SeeCity Cultural Association based in Prato, Tuscany. It is a live, constantly updated digital mapping of – for now (November 2025) – over 300 feminist organizations active in Italy. The idea was born after a two-day event comprising cultural meetings and creative workshops in November 2023, called oltre la 194 (beyond 194), organized in Prato by CCT studio together with Libera di Abortire and many other feminist organizations from the local and national territory. The aim was to present to citizens the proposed law that sought to overcome the limitations of Law 194 of 1978, to guarantee the right to free and safe abortion throughout Italy. By organizing this event, CCT studio became aware of the existence of a feminist city – from the student collective Intersezioni, to the local node of Non Una Di Meno network, to the anti-violence centre La Nara, to the association ReVulva, that deals with sexual-emotional education, and finally, to Ipazia, the organizers of the annual Festival Femminista. “Being an organization that has been working in Communication for Culture and Territory since 2009, the desire to map ourselves was very natural. But why limit ourselves to Prato (our city) or Tuscany (our region)?” A year following that event in Prato, on 24th October 2024, they launched www.gioialibera.it to map and tell the story of feminist Italy, through an open and participatory platform.
