Feminist Nightscapes

Feminist Nightscapes

Feminist Nightscapes by Claudia Lomoschitz, Elke Krasny and Sophie Lingg is a long-term feminist spatial practice. We organize collective nightwalks in different cities and neighborhoods. Groups take back the night and pre-enact the feminist city as they perform scores, make use of urban infrastructure in unusual and unexpected ways, sing songs of resistance and joy, stroll, loiter, and support one another. The feminist city makes it possible for all bodies and genders to move freely and joyfully without fear of patriarchal violence and its pedagogy of cruelty. Feminist Nightscapes takes place in commemoration of and in solidarity with all those who have been insisting that it is possible to ‘'Take back the Night' since 1975.
