Funded by a European Research Council Grant, "Expanding Agency" is a five year research project based at University College Dublin that examines the role of women and ethnic minorities in the global dissemination of modern architecture between 1920 and 1970. Team members are giving conference talks and publishing articles, book chapters, and books. It is paying particular attention to the ways in which modernism was marketed to women, including by female journalists and entrepreneurs.
