Elizabeth Grosz

Elizabeth Grosz is an Australian philosopher and feminist theorist. She taught philosophy at various universities in Australia, the United States and Europe and was a professor in the fields of feminist and gender Studies, Philosophy and Architecture. She retired in 2019. Her research fields include psychoanalytic theory, evolutionary theory, theories of space and time and the intersections and modes of belonging-together of mind and body. She has written on the works of Jacques Lacan, Jacques Derrida, Julia Kristeva, Luce Irigaray, Gilles Deleuze, Gilbert Simondon and Raymond Ruyer, making her a central figure of a contemporary critical rethinking in traditional ideas of space and body as well as an interesting reading for the discipline of architecture.
