"300 years — that’s the UN’s estimate for achieving gender equality if we don’t act. What matters here is action, and action begins with understanding, listening, and opening dialogue. Women are not “just like men.” They’re harassed, undervalued, and interrupted within a matrix of structural inequalities. Urban space reflects and reinforces these hierarchies. Designing space with and for women means rethinking norms and prioritizing care. I chose to work on sorority — sisterhood — by translating this intangible concept into 12 spatial utopias: union, generosity, initiative, love, forgiveness, safety, independence, collectivism, uniqueness, memory, and compassion. This project grounds utopia in reality."
