Climate Care
Climate Care
"Climate Care is a festival engaged with theory and practice at the intersection of climate challenges, ethics of care and environmental humanities. Emerging from weathering the conditions of its site, the program is a result of in-depth cohabitation with the constructed water infrastructure, its human culture and its multispecies overlays. Climate Care first edition in 2019 explored the complex interplay between ecology, pedagogies and ethics of care and sought to address climate breakdown through a curriculum for urban practice. The second edition of Climate Care in 2021 critically explored the notion of rewilding, questioning both the biological and ethical implications of this intervention at micro and macro levels. For its third edition in 2023, Climate Care continued its engagement with the rainwater retention basin serving Tempelhofer Feld - the site of the Floating University- by prototyping a collective and collaborative approach towards the negotiation, maintenance and mediation of hybrid urban infrastructures in Berlin and beyond."
