Bloomsbury Encyclopedia of Women in Architecture

Bloomsbury Encyclopedia of Women in Architecture

"The Bloomsbury Global Encyclopedia of Women in Architecture is a book and project that maps the diversity of women’s practice in the built environments of the Global North and South between 1960-2020. Inclusion of architects, architectural critics, to pegagogues, to urban planners, heritage architects, policy makers, activists, and curators challenge definitions of architectural practice. The Encyclopedia challenges chronological histories of women and architecture by presenting a geographically organized history of women across nine different regions, in Africa, Asia, Caribbean/Central America/ South America, Europe, the Former Soviet Union/Russia, Middle East, Oceania, the United Kingdom, and United States / Canada."
