Ana Falú is an Argentine leading figure with a global career fighting for human rights and women's rights. She is an architect, university professor, and researcher. She has been Director of the Instituto de Investigaciones de Vivienda y Hábitat (Housing and Habitat Research Institute) of the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (National University of Córdoba), and at present is the Director of the Master Course MGDH (Maestria en Gestión y Desarrollo Habitacional) at the same University. Ana is also co-founder of Red Mujer y Hábitat de América Latina (Women and Habitat Network of Latin America) of the Articulación Feminista Marcosur (Marcosur Feminist Articulation) and of CISCSA (Center of Interchange and Services Cone South), currently the Executive Director of this organization. She was the Regional Director of UN Women (formerly UNIFEM) for the Andean Region (2002-2004) and for Brazil and Southern Cone Countries (2004-2009). First Prize of the BIAU (Iberoamerican Bienal of Architecture and Urbanism). a career achievement award, for her innovative contributions. Ana Falú obtained the Doctor Honoris Causa and Honorary Professor degrees from the National University of Rosario and the National University of Tucuman in Argentina—author of books, chapters of books, and articles.
